We assume you’ve all heard by now, but just in case … Idol‘s longest running judge — and the “dawg” himself — Randy Jackson has announced that this season will be his last, as he is parting ways with the show for good.
As the rumors of the other judges’ potential departures swirl round and round the bottomless gossip mill, Nicki Minaj sat down with Idol host Ryan Seacrest and attempted to clear the air.
She told Ryan:
“That’s a million-dollar question… I have to say this all the time, but I want people to know it’s genuinely from my heart. I love the people on Idol. I genuinely do. If I had to do this all over again, I would have done Idol. Because it’s fun, it’s laughs. It’s kind of sad that what people read all the time is only when something is negative. But they don’t realize that we built a family.├óΓé¼┬¥
She then added:
├óΓé¼┼ôI feel happy here and I have to thank them for giving me this chance. They could have picked anyone in the world. And they picked me. So that’s all I’ll say about that.”
Hmmm, while that├óΓé¼Γäós all really great, it├óΓé¼Γäós not quite the answer we were hoping for — in fact, it├óΓé¼Γäós not really an answer at all.
Guess we├óΓé¼Γäóll have to wait some more on this one, folks! But if Randy is giving his goodbye now, we should assume that the other judges aren’t too far behind….
