A blurry Nicki Minaj is on the front of New York Magazine‘s spring issue, making it her third cover this month.
In her interview, the Pink Friday rapper opens up about fashion and her multiple personalities.

On using her looks to get noticed:
“I like the idea of doing something that everyone else is not. I get high off that. Just the idea that other people don├óΓé¼Γäót have the balls to do something├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥that├óΓé¼Γäós my thing.”
On her alter egos Roman, Martha and Barbie:
“I have different personalities, so I just started naming them. Like, there├óΓé¼Γäós one that├óΓé¼Γäós angry, a little more in-your-face. I named that person Roman. He guest stars on my new album. There├óΓé¼Γäós also his mother, Martha. She guest-stars as well. She├óΓé¼Γäós from London. I also have a Barbie character that comes out every now and then. She├óΓé¼Γäós soft-spoken, really sweet, and polite. She├óΓé¼Γäós got a kid├óΓé¼Γäós voice.
On dressing her alter egos:
“If I├óΓé¼Γäóm more dressed down in sweats and black hair, that├óΓé¼Γäós the Nicki character. Roman is more outlandish with his dress code├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥he├óΓé¼Γäóll wear speakers on his butt and stuff like that. Barbie wears little cute dresses that don├óΓé¼Γäót show too much skin.”
On whether or not she’ll be making another appearance at Fashion Week:
“I├óΓé¼Γäóm not impressed to be in that world. I├óΓé¼Γäóm in my own world. I think sometimes the fashion world isn├óΓé¼Γäót even about clothes anymore; it├óΓé¼Γäós about this ├óΓé¼┼ôin├óΓé¼┬¥ crowd, and I├óΓé¼Γäóm not into that. But I├óΓé¼Γäóm doing a Barbie fashion show. They did a Barbie for me, and that is super friggin├óΓé¼Γäó amazing.”
