Nicki Minaj knows how to get her fans and followers going, that’s for sure!
The 37-year-old rapper raised some eyebrows and drew a LOT of social media comments this weekend, after she posted a new video to her Instagram account suggesting there might just be a baby Barbie on the way… yes, really!

It all started on Sunday, when the rapper posted a clip of her 41-year-old husband, Kenneth Petty, rubbing on her belly with his left hand while two appeared to be flying on an airplane. Later, in a separate post, Minaj does confirm the couple had just touched down on the Caribbean island nation of Trinidad. But back to the baby bump… as you can see (below), this video sure seems suggestive, doesn’t it?!
Whoa! Did we just see what we think we saw there?! And we weren’t the only ones to think so, either! Fans immediately responded with a mix of suspicion and excitement over the Yikes artist’s potential bun in the oven.

“She pregnant 100%,” one fan wrote, “No man rubs ur belly like that if his baby ain’t in it.”
Good point! Another added plenty more excitement, including a bunch of emojis of the Trinidadian flag as well as queen, a king, and a baby (below):
“CONGRATULATIONS beautiful, this is gonna be epic ??????????????♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️???”
So much emoji excitement! LOLz!!!
Retirement on the horizon?
As you might recall, back in September 2019, Nicki tweeted out a message suggesting she was going to retire from music and start a family. At the time, she abruptly shared the stunning message with her fans, writing (below):
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, ❌ in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. ✅ Love you for LIFE ?♥️?.”
Now, she hasn’t retired yet, of course — and she’s been continuing to release new music — but perhaps that was all foreshadowing to a future pregnancy? Maybe now she’s moving into family mode?!

Who knows. All we can say for sure is Minaj and Petty have been thick as thieves ever since tying the knot back in October — and we can only imagine how much a baby would strengthen that bond!
