This morning, a judge ruled in favor of extending Nicole Richie’s probation by a year. It seems being a full-time mommy has kept her busy, too busy to finish the required number of alcohol ed courses.
Nicky’s probation from her 2006 DUI was suppose to terminate next month, but her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, explained to the judge that because Nicky had “program-approved” leaves of absence in order to deliver and care for her two kids, she couldn’t complete the required number classes.
The judge agreed to extend the sentence until March, 2011, as well as offering to end her probation earlier if she completes the program before March.
