The tea just keeps on spilling… or does it?
Nikita Dragun attempted to come to James Charles‘ defense Monday evening by sharing screenshots of text messages between the two via Twitter, but fans are absolutely tearing her tweets to shreds.

ICYMI, the 19-year-old has lost over 3 million followers — from 16.5 million subscribers down to 13.5 million — since Tati Westbrook posted an EXPLOSIVE 43-minute video posted on Friday.
The 37-year-old opened up about feeling disrespected by her wedding makeup artist who chose to share an Instagram Story endorsement of Sleep Vitamins by SugarBearHair, a direct competitor of Westbrook’s brand Halo Beauty, at Coachella:
“It wasn’t just about vitamins or Halo, it was just about being lied to and feeling disrespected… And you know, James Charles had nine days after Coachella to talk to me. He knows where I live, it’s not far from him. He could’ve come face-to-face and chatted with me because he knew this would hurt me.”
While the teenager posted an apology video directed at his former friend the same day, explaining that he was “disappointed” in his own actions at the Indio festival, there’s another guru who is getting into the mix.
The Dragun Beauty founder tweeted out two text message screenshots, trying to vindicate her friend:

However, it wasn’t long after the 23-year-old posted the supposed receipts that replies began coming in to tear her “clarification” apart.
The Time Stamps
Twitter users think it seems HIGHLY unlikely given the length of messages between Nikita and the SBH team that they would have been exchanged in less than a minute, unless they were created as a later coverup:
“The timestamps are key. These are fake”
“Either they’re fake or they’re staged so that his story looks like it has receipts. Either way, im not buying it.”
“Getting a response in under 2 minutes from a rep regarding a spare pass… And let’s not forget the fact that he had the pass on that morning in his snaps… I smell something funky”
“So you read james’ texts, replied, texted SBH multiple times, got a response, and texted James back all with in 60 seconds”
Weekend One Or Two?
Aside from the timestamps of the actual messages, many were confused by the date (April 20) of the messages, as many claim that the first weekend was when the deal went down between the guru and IG-famous brand:
“Wait, this doesn’t make sense, didn’t James Charles and y’all go to weekend 1? April 20th was during weekend 2.”
“Literally just rewatched the snap, he said that SBH helped him weekend one. NEXT”
“Also the 20th was week two of Coachella where he didn’t need the security team. Week one was the 12th I believe so this shows nothing.”
“girl nobody cares about the vitamins anymore also this doesn’t add up because james did the sugar bear hair ad during week one of coachella and april 20th was during weekend two and that’s when he just had regular vip”
Too Little, Too Late?
Given that Charles’ sub count is already down by over 3 million, and Tati’s is up nearly 4 million, many were confused that Dragun waited so long to share these messages, furthering the rumor that they could be fabricated:
“Imagine waiting til your friend loses 3 million subs & is dragged all over the internet / media…& then coming forward saying “heard a situation needed clarification”.”
“what this changes: nothing”
“Nikita gurl… you could’ve just stayed out of this and fixed your wig”
“Sis that tea is COLD AF”
Though if the screenshots are real, users were also quick to point out that this didn’t necessarily make him look better, but actually worse for how quick he was to work with the brand:
“So, @jamescharles knowingly asked you to get him in touch with Tati’s main competitor without even batting an eye? Wow, Thanks for clarifying! LOL #stillcancelled #stillanasshole #nicetry”
“This still Paints him as a snake. He knowingly asked for help, knowingly betrayed his friend for a good time, wasn’t even taking the sleep pills, it was only for the pass and he is still a liar, lying to his audience about him taking the pills. Thanks for the info!”

Moving Along?
There are also some that have completely moved past the vitamin issue, and onto his other potentially problematic actions:
“We aren’t even concerned with this anymore. Why would we care about the vitamin situation when he’s a predator?”
“Everyone keeps talking about the vitamins. That’s not why he’s cancelled”
