After two long months of being separated, Nikki Reed has finally filed for divorce from her hubby, Paul McDonald.
The two first announced their decision to end their marriage in March and admitted they were living apart for six months before deciding to end the marital union.
As stated in the divorce documents, the Twilight star is citing irreconcilable differences and is asking the court to deny any spousal support, cutting off financial ties with her American Idol lover.
At least this divorce will be clean since the two don’t have any children together, but they are vowing to continue their joint musical work!
Waiting a while before actually filing for divorce is pretty common in the world of Hollywood! Here are five other stars who waited a LONG time before filing for divorce!
1. Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore — Demi announced her plans to divorce Ashton in 2011. It wasn’t until December of 2012 when Ashton finally filed for divorce from his wife of six years.
2. Clint and Dina Eastwood — The two were separated for four months before Dina officially filed for divorce from the Million Dollar Baby star.
3. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom – The reality stars separated in August of 2013 when allegations of cheating and drug abuse surfaced. Khloe then filed for divorce in December of the same year!
4. Courteney Cox and David Arquette — The former lovers announced their separation in 2011 and it wasn’t until 2013 their divorce was finalized.
5. Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe — The beautiful couple separated in October of 2006 after seven years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized in 2007.
