Picture this: two skydivers, a 200-foot-long slip ‘n slide, and a GoPro camera.
Sounds totally normal, right?!
On Wednesday, two professional skydivers, Niklas Daniel and Brianne Thompson, found a new way to cool off. The two decided to land on a slip ‘n slide from 5,000 feet!
Niklas co-owns Axis Flight School in Eloy, Arizona, and is a SUPER experienced skydiver with a resume of 8,000 jumps!!
If you’re wondering how Niklas came up with the wacky idea, he gave the public some insight in his description of the video:
“The weather was very hot and we were trying to figure out a fun way to cool off in between jumps. It was a great way to end the day.”
Jeez, this is absolutely NUTS!
A+ for creativity, Niklas and Brianne (though we personally prefer more traditional ways to cool off)!
P.S. kids! DON’T try this at home! Niklas advises:
“This type of landing has a higher risk associated with it. It takes many thousands of jumps and years to learn.”
Good advice!
