Just when you think every type of cosmetic procedure has already been pioneered, something comes along to prove you WRONG!
Nipple tattooing, or “tittooing” as it is more commonly known, is the latest craze in Liverpool, and don’t be surprised when it makes its debut on American soil very soon.
Though the process was originally used in breast reconstruction to define the nipple area, it is now popular with women who think their nipples are too pale or too small.
The tittooing procedure allows them to make their nipples as dark, round, and large as they want!
Gail Proudman, a clinician who tattoos about three pairs of nipples a week, explained:
“A lot of people want their nipples made darker. It├óΓé¼Γäós the fashion. Some people think theirs are too pink or their boyfriends want them done. I think sometime they are doing it because they are conscious of them being pale and they think it├óΓé¼Γäós fashionable to have dark nipples. They’ll look at the magazines and page 3 and unfortunately a lot of it might be peer pressure. The girls get them done so they can go topless and not be embarrassed, or when they’re in a changing room and getting changed. They can go on holiday in front of their partners, go for massages, spray tans and just not be conscious of their body.”
The entire ordeal takes two hours, costs approximately $2K, and lasts about 12 to 18 months.
All we can say is…OUCH!
