Hope you had your fun with those jokes, Dave, because the NJ governor is staying right where he is!
Today, NJ Gov. Chris Christie officially announced that he won’t be running for President in the 2012 race.
Here’s what he had to say about it:
“I have a commitment to New Jersey that I will not abandon. New Jersey, whether you like it or not, you’re stuck with me.”
“The deciding factor was it did not feel right to me, in my gut, to leave now when the job is not finished.”
And on a more humorous note, here’s what Christie had to say about the recent wave of jokes regarding his weight:
“I’m not particularly self-conscious about this. It’s not a news flash to me that I’m overweight.”
“To say that because you are overweight you are therefore undisciplined—I don’t think undisciplined people get to achieve great positions in our society.”
While we certainly endorse healthy living, we can appreciate where Christie is coming from with his comments.
Maybe he’ll have more time to exercise now that he won’t have the all-encompassing job of running for president!
Are U sad to hear that NJ Governor Chris Christie won’t be running in the 2012 race? Or are U happy about it?
