It’s comin’, Activision!! It’s comin’!!
A judge has decided No Doubt’s 2009 lawsuit against the video game company can now be presented before a jury.
If you forgot (which you probably did since we haven’t talked about this in three years), No Doubt got ALL sorts of pissy when they realized their character avatars could be unlocked to play other bands’ music in Band Hero.
The band insists they only agreed to let their characters play their own music. And they’re now calling BS because they feel the unlockable feature makes the band look like a “a virtual karaoke circus act.”
But Activision’s attorney, Jeffery McFarland, says he can’t wait to present his case. He claims he even has a video of the band being told about the extra feature.
HmMmMm…. but did they agree to it???
Guess we’ll wait to see what the jury says on this one!!!
