Uh-oh! This one’s going to hurt!
For a few years now, Kathy Griffin has been dutifully by the side of Anderson Cooper during CNN’s coverage of New Year’s Eve from New York. Sources are suggesting that you shouldn’t expect her to be back in the hosting chair again this year, as her recent comments about Bristol Palin’s weight have deterred execs from inviting her back.
According to insiders at the network, cable execs reportedly were ready to show Kathy a little forgiveness after her wild antics on last years telecast, which included alluding to cocaine use and dropping the F-bomb. But then, she called Bristol “fat” this week and not the network isn’t so sure they want anything to do with her. The insider at the network explains:
“CNN executives … were considering giving her another chance. That was until her Bristol weight comment a few days ago that reminded everyone exactly why they had barred her in the first place.”
We’re sure it didn’t help matters. What’s worse is that her controversial comments don’t even seem to be bringing in the viewers either. So then, what is the point of having her?
It’s a shame for her, but maybe better for CNN.
What do U think?
