New footage helps piece together Nolan Wells‘ final movements.
As Perezcious readers know, the 18-year-old was found dead after going missing following a Fourth of July boating trip with friends, who claim he chose to separate from the group and stay back on Horn Island in Mississippi to hang out with a girl he’d just met. Nolan’s parents, however, don’t believe the story and think foul play could have led to their son’s death. The investigation is still underway.

Now, new footage has emerged potentially showing the boat Nolan was last seen on, and it could be a clue in the case.
In a new clip posted to social media, a boat named “Mac Daddy” is captured anchored at Horn Island at 11:17 a.m., before the area got too crowded. It’s possible Nolan could be seen sitting on the boat, though it’s hard to tell. Authorities have not confirmed whether this is the same boat connected to the teen’s death, but it matches a boat seen in a video taken later that day — which may include Nolan’s last on-camera sighting before his death.

TMZ‘s footage, taken at around 2:23 p.m. local time according to metadata, shows a man at the back of the boat, believed to be Nolan, because he is wearing the same colored bathing suit as the teenager had on in a photo taken with friends that day. Look:
In TMZ‘s video, some adults seem to be on the boat, but in the new footage, the group on the boat does not appear to match.
It’s hard to know what to make of these videos at this time, but if the Mac Daddy is the boat tied to the investigation, these clips could help investigators narrow down a timeline of events in the case. According to reports, nobody said they saw Nolan after 4:30 p.m., so any information tracking his movements on this pivotal day could go a long way.
