Early Saturday, comedian Robert Schimmel was arrested by the Los Angeles County police after allegedly beating his wife at his home in Calabasas.
The 59-year-old stand-up comic, who was a regular guest on Conan O’Brien’s TV show and Howard Stern’s radio show, was taken into custody and later released on $50,000 bail.
