It’s true, the cutest gay couple in the world doesn’t want to be role models for the gay family!!
“I sort of go out of my way not to be Soap Box Johnny,”
Neil Patrick Harris announced from the soapbox podium last night at the 40th anniversary gala of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.
Speaking on behalf of himself and his partner David Burtka, NPH said:
“We’re super happy to lead by example, but even to define ourselves in any kind of leadership position I think is awkward. I cringe when I hear people say they consider themselves role models.”
Burtka agreed,
“We really don’t do anything. We take care of our kids. We’re in a relationship. We love each other, but we don’t go out of the way to stand on a soapbox, like Neil said.”
Okay, maybe you are just an average family! That’s pretty impressive for ANYONE in Hollywood, especially a gay couple. The fellas are gonna have to deal with it. They are the ideal picture of a modern gay couple!
