NYC Street Drummer Sues MTV Over Nicki Minaj Documentary!

Well, you don’t hear about lawsuits like this every day!

MTV has been slapped with a lawsuit by a NY street-drummer who claims that his privacy was violated when he was filmed by camera crews and broadcast in the network’s documentary, Nicki Minaj: My Time Is Now!

According to Michael Savely, who goes by Mike Alaska, the show’s producers caught him on camera in 2010, and despite his refusal to sign a waiver, they went ahead and put him in the show anyway! Now he claims that the aired footage of his image has caused his reputation to be damaged, and he can no longer attract potential clients to take drumming lessons from him – because they don’t agree with the values Nicki represents!

WTF?

According to legal documents:

“[Savely] understands that the reason many of the parents of the students he teaches employ his services is because they can trust him to provide their children with something more modern yet not corrupt. Minaj dresses provocatively, uses profanity and glorifies a specific lifestyle.”

Ha! So someone who stands out in public and performs as a street busker is suddenly concerned about his privacy being violated – and all because he doesn’t agree with Nicki’s ‘provocative’ image?

Granted, if he refused to sign a waiver and they still put him on TV, that’s not cool.

HOWEVER.

Sounds like a load of BS to us, and he’s just looking for a quick payday!

This whole thing sounds a little shady to us!

What do U think?? Will the lawsuit hold up in court?
