To continue the 63 year White House tradition of saving two turkeys from the fate of being dinner, President Obama pardoned two turkeys from California!
Apple ad Cider, both 21 weeks old stood in the rose garden with the President and his daughters Malia and Sasha where Obama said, “You are hereby pardoned from the Thanksgiving dinner table. May you have a wonderful and joyful life at Mt. Vernon.”
These two lucky turkeys will now live out the rest of their lives at Mt. Vernon, George Washington’s estate.
Obama ended this fun tradition by saying to Apple, “All right, have a good life, man.”
