New Zealand's Obese Deceased Have A Big Problem

Wow. This is really rather sad.

A report out of New Zealand claims that there has been an expansion of overweight individuals passing away in the country that do not fit the cadavers saved for them. These people turn out to be so obese that funeral directors are forced sell double burial plots to accommodate them.

Though the standard size of a coffin has increased over years, according to the president of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand, so has the size of the average New Zealander. We’re told that even cremation is not an option for someone of a larger size as the body may not fit into the cremator. The only option available then is to buy two plots to accommodate the width of the coffin. As you can imagine, that tends to be rather costly.

It’s kind of a morbid thought, but we guess that it might be just as important to worry about your physique in the afterlife as well as the one you’re living. But regardless of your size, the important thing is that you’re healthy.

Just two things to keep in mind.
