Tom Cruise Blows The Weekend Box Office Into Oblivion!

Tom Cruise just proved that he can still send a movie to the top of the box office!
In fact, with the actor’s latest sci-fi extravaganza, Oblivion, he secured himself one of his biggest opening weekend ever, as it pulled in a pretty impressive $38.1 million!
Excluding the Mission: Impossible flicks, this his is most lucrative since War of the Worlds!
And that was when Dakota Fanning was still a child!
Despite his throne’s usurpation, however, the aforementioned baseball legend’s new biopic, 42, held steady at the #2 spot with $18 million, while Ryan Gosling‘s new indie The Place Beyond the Pines expanded release by 1,500 theaters and made it to #6, with $4.7 million!
