As we mentioned last week, Octo-Mom’s dad, Ed Doud, sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey. The sit-down aired Tuesday and Octo-Gramps doesn’t hold back at all, even questioning daughter Nadya’s mental stability.
So what else did Octo-Grandpa talk about?
Well, he’s not too happy with his daughter’s interview with NBC’s Ann Curry. He thinks his daughter, Nadya Suleman, was still under duress and needed time to recuperate from giving birth to eight kids.
Octo-Grandpa said “They took her out of the hospital by midnight to a secret location. They did not even give her a chance to rest, to sleep, where she’s still under medication and not feeling well. They bombard her with all these cameras. I am not saying that they kidnapped her. What I am saying is that it absolutely should have given her a little time until she heals at least and not be under so much medication.”
Well, isn’t she an adult? Why didn’t she $ay no and wait a bit before interviewing?
In a statement by NBC, they claim “NBC News stands by every aspect of our interview with Nadya Suleman. Contrary to her father’s allegations, we did not take Nadya from the hospital and the interview, which was conducted with respect, took place at a time of her choosing.”
As for Octomom having said that she had a “pretty dysfunctional” childhood, her dad says “We gave her so much love. No child has so much love. I thought what she meant is because she is the only child. I’m sure that’s what she meant. She really wanted a brother or sister.”
Those poor kids!
