Really?!
Jackie Sheaks of West Columbus, Ohio is a bit baffled these days after the Facebook photos she shared of her baby granddaughter went viral, but not for the reasons she would’ve liked them, too!
The controversial photos stirred up a firestorm amongst Sheaks’ Facebook friends… and their friends… and their friends… over the disturbing nature of the shots that included the baby girl with a pacifier duct-taped to her mouth and one where the little babe was in a roasting pan with potatoes.
In fact the photos were eventually reported to the Child Protective Services over the potentiality of child abuse that may have been occurring in these photos.
However, Sheaks says SHE’S the real victim here! The victim of being a misunderstood comic! Here’s what she recently said in a interview:
├óΓé¼┼ôWe’re not horrible people that they are making us out to me. It started as just a joke; we put a little tape on the pacifier because we were being silly. We wanted to share it with friends because everybody that knows us, knows we play around like that…We would never harm our children, never.├óΓé¼┬¥
The child’s grandfather Tommy Sheaks claims it has gotten so bad that he believes the family may have to relocate! He said:
├óΓé¼┼ôI’m getting all kind of friends request that we don’t know for that reason. It’s been a big toll on the family we almost feel like we have to relocate.├óΓé¼┬¥
The grandparents, speaking on her behalf, claim the mother of the child doesn’t mind the photos. And that they haven’t heard of any pending charges against them from law enforcement or Child Protective Services.
Still, the lesson the grandmother seems to have learned from all of this seems a bit out of whack. That basically everyone else are humorless, and her baby photos are ahead of their time! She said:
“Oh, it’s definitely taught me a lesson: what we think is funny, other people don’t (and) it will never happen again. It’s definitely taught us a lesson.”
Messing with babies like this, and documenting it for your own sick sense of humor, is not funny and it never will be! The kid has no idea what’s going on, is probably scared, and you find it hilarious??
On top of that, posting them online is just asking for trouble.
