When A Woman Skipped Out On The Bill After A 30-Mile Cab Ride, An Ohio Judge Made Her Do WHAT?!

One Ohio judge is laying down the law — and giving those convicted a little more than they bargained for when they step into his courtroom!
On Thursday, a case came before Lake County Judge Michael A. Cicconetti involving a woman named Victoria Bascom.
Bascom, prosecutors alleged, called a cab to take her 30 miles and when they got to her destination, she jumped out and ran without paying.
That crime should’ve gotten her a punishment of 60 days in jail, but Cicconetti got creative: Bascom could choose to spend her 60 days in the slammer, or walk 30 miles – the length of her trip – within 48 hours!

Bascom decided to make the trek, and right now, she’s walking at the county fairgrounds with a GPS monitor on, so the judge knows exactly how far she’s gone in her 48 hours.
Justice served!
