Last month, we learned that the D.A. was ready to charge Mel Gibson with domestic violence. We also learned that they were NOT planning on charging Oksana Grigorieva with extortion.
Looks like everything’s gone according to plan, because Mel is being charged with battery, but Oksana will not be charged with extortion.
Here’s what a source had to say about it:
“The battery charge against Mel will officially be filed on Friday morning. The DA’s office will announce that the extortion case was rejected. There wasn’t enough evidence to prove that a crime occurred.”
As we said last month, we don’t think either party is truly innocent in this case, but at least Mel one of them will be punished.
