Olympian Oscar Pistorius Broods Over The Girlfriend He Killed A Year Ago Today In Desperate Letter Calling It An "Accident"

Valentine’s Day isn’t always about falling in love, sometimes it’s about “accidentally” shooting your girlfriend through a closed bathroom door because you were somehow ‘convinced’ she was an ‘intruder.’
At least, that’s what Valentine’s Day means to Olympian Oscar Pistorius.
Here’s what he said in a statement marking the 1 year anniversary since he shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp:

14 February 2014
No words can adequately capture my feelings about the devastating accident that has caused such heartache for everyone who truly loved – and continues to love Reeva.
The pain and sadness – especially for Reeva’s parents, family and friends consumes me with sorrow.
The loss of Reeva and the complete trauma of that day, I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Possibly while in prison!
Don’t forget that Oscar’s trial is going to start soon — and that it has its very own TV channel in South Africa. It’s scheduled for March 3rd.
Shooting your girlfriend, accident or not, is such a waste of life. Sometimes accidents are just too egregious to go without punishment, too.
