This is crazy!
Olympic gymnast Dominique Monceanu recently found out she has a sister who she was separated from at birth.
Monceanu’s parents gave up her sister, Jennifer Bricker, because she was born without legs.
Craziest part? Jennifer is a gymnast too!
Even though she has no legs, she’s never let that stop her.
She said:
“Growing up, I just didn├óΓé¼Γäót realize I was different, it wasn├óΓé¼Γäót on my radar. I wasn├óΓé¼Γäót treated any differently at home or at school, I went to such a small school so to everyone there I was normal. I was very popular and thought of as the strong capable one because I was so athletic and strong.”
Now that she knows who her blood sister is, the two of them got to work out together.
What’s funny is Jennifer had idolized Dominique growing up.
“We got to play in the gym when Dominique came here from Ohio and bounced on the trampoline, so that was a lot of fun.”
We’re so glad that, even though it’s been over two decades, these two sisters are reunited!
