It’s been an eye-opening few weeks for the five lads of One Direction; Niall Horan discovered poverty exists while on a trip to Ghana, and then in Japan the quintet were literally at a loss for words during a press conference because none of them knew ANY Japanese.
Not even guide-book level phrasing!
Which makes sense as they are totes too busy getting bombarded by crazy fans and recording vanilla pop tunes to learn such pointless skillz.
LOLz!!
BUT to counter their poor linguistic abilities, the boys have vowed to learn language basics of every country they plan to visit by hiring an instructor watching YouTube educational videos!
An insider shares:
“The press conference in Japan got embarrassing because the boys’ culture shock was so obvious. Over the weekend they vowed to learn at least 20 of the most common words in the languages of the countries they’re visiting before they land there.
They’re just going to use YouTube tutorials to brush up on their language skills and think that’s going to be enough.”
Well… at least these cheeky chums are attempting to educate themselves in world languages, even if it is only by watching something online!
And in no way will this backfire and cause even more HIGHlarious misunderstandings!
