It looks like Louis Tomlinson will be taking his talents to Doncaster!
The One Direction heartthrob has been a HUGE soccer football fan his whole life, and he saw a childhood dream come true today as he signed on as a non-contract player with his hometown team, the Doncaster Rovers!
Louis has a long history with the team as he actually worked at the stadium before he rose to stardom, and more recently helped them organize a charity game! Now he’s hoping they can team up again and raise some money for Bluebell Wood Children├óΓé¼Γäós Hospice!
He released a statement on the exciting news, saying:
“This has always been a childhood dream for me. I feel very honoured to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it├óΓé¼Γäós all about.”
Awww! We’re SOOOO excited for him!
But before you start thinking that this is all about charity, the team says they are ACTUALLY hoping to see Louis suit up and hit the field sometime this season!
The team’s website says:
“As part of the signing it is hoped that Louis will be able to appear in Rovers colours at some point this season in aid of Bluebell Wood and train with the lads.”
How exciting!!!
We can only imagine all of the screaming Directioners who will be attending their first ever football match JUST to see him get some playing time!
We’re sooo thrilled for Louis and we’re glad this is all for a great cause, but we still have one HUGE question: Where can we get our hands on a Tomlinson jersey?!?!
