What a big bank account heart she has!
A private middle school in inner-city Atlanta just got a really awesome early Christmas present – $1.5 million from Oprah Winfrey!
As a school in one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods, the staff has been struggling to raise money to pay for it’s $2.8 million operating budget, so Oprah stepped in to help bankroll their efforts.
Last year, she donated $365,000 and considering the school is hoping to expand its campus by building a cafeteria, gymnasium and theater, she might have to throw down a lot more next year.
