Surprise! Surprise!
All the guys who put their money into Oprah’s new OWN venture with Discovery are wondering when the hell they’re gonna see any payback.
But CFO Bradley Singer insists patience will be a virtue that pays off big time now that Oprah is back in charge of the direction, telling them:
We feel real good about the direction the network is headed in. It’s just building block after building block.
The goal of the company is to create value. You generally don’t want to do things [that depress] returns. But sometimes you have to.
Yeah, we’re gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. Now that she is back in charge, we think it stands a chance.
If not, there’s gonna be a whole lotta dry cleaning bills for sweaty suits!!
