Oprah Winfrey has recently revealed that while in Zurich, Switzerland for Tina Turner‘s wedding, she was the victim of racist treatment at the fancy schmancy Trois Pommes boutique!
According to the BILLIONAIRE mogul, she was repeatedly denied a look at a $40,000 handbag because the salesperson told her it was “too expensive” and then proceeded to show her a bunch of smaller, cheaper bags!
Say whaaaa???
Oprah, dressed in “a little Donna Karan skirt and little sandals,” suggested afterwards that maybe the salesperson didn’t recognize her, but who on Earth doesn’t know Oprah??? Especially someone who works in a swanky boutique that is visited by lots of celebs?!
Without making a scene, Oprah simply left, and resisted going back in and having a Pretty Woman moment! That takes willpower!
We’re appalled that this happened, but we bet that salesperson feels miiiighty dumb right about now!
