Oprah is stepping into primetime with her new show.
And she wants to start 2012 right by debuting on New Year’s Day.
Oprah’s Next Chapter is set for a two hour premiere on OWN. Oprah says it’s a big step in her life and stating the following about her upcoming show.
After 25 years I got myself out of the studio chairs. I moved into the next chapter, and I am having more fun than ever — moving around the country and the world talking to people I’m really interested in getting to know and I think viewers will be, too…
It is so energizing to be out and about in the world exploring new people, new places and new ideas.
For the show, Oprah will travel and speak with celebrities at their homes, world leaders, and everyday families.
Some scheduled appearances include a trip to Haiti with Sean Penn, a slumber party with Paula Deen, and touring Skywalker Ranch with George Lucas.
During the first episode, Oprah will visit Steven Tyler at his home.
