In the case of Pretty Woman, the road not taken was paved with drugs and heartbreak!
Originally, the Richard Gere and Julia Roberts rom com had a lot less rom AND com — titled $3000, the script had a drug addiction storyline and an EXTREMELY depressing ending!
Meanwhile, the original ending for Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi might have made you absolutely miserable — but it would probably have led more easily to a sequel!
But NEITHER of these flicks’ first endings were nearly as bad as some others…
