Oscars 2018: Jane Fonda, Jennifer Lawrence, Jodie Foster, And Helen Mirren Will Break Tradition & Present Lead Acting Awards!

no title
It’s “the year of the woman” in Hollywood, and it’s about damn time!!!
With Time’s Up set to get a major piece of time during the Oscars telecast on Sunday night, the Academy seems intent on breaking traditions and shaking things up a bit — and now, we know that includes breaking on who announces the lead acting nominations, too!

Traditionally, the previous year’s winners for Lead Actor and Lead Actress would present the same category for the opposite gender the next year — meaning that Casey Affleck (after winning for his work in Manchester by the Sea a year ago) should have presented the Lead Actress category on Sunday.
But that ain’t what’s happening!!!
Affleck bowed out almost two months ago, reportedly to avoid becoming a distraction due to the fact that he’d previously settled two sexual harassment lawsuits over his behavior while shooting the 2010 film I’m Still Here.
And now, according to Variety, it’ll be four women who present the two leading role nominations instead of people life Affleck!!!
Get ready for Jennifer Lawrence and Jodie Foster to announce the lead actress prize winner, while Jane Fonda and Helen Mirren will do the same for lead actor!!! Wonderful!!
Obviously a small gesture, but a powerful one nonetheless. And much appreciated!!!
