Over $5 Million In Endangered Species Contraband Seized In Hong Kong

Customs officials in Hong Kong have seized $5.3 million dollars worth of illegal ivory, rhino horns and leopard skins earlier this week.

What’s crazy is this is only the second biggest bust this month!!

After being tipped off by mainland China customs officials, Hong Kong’s port grabbed 1,120 ivory tusks, 13 rhino horns and five leopard skins.

Everything was hidden inside a container full of wood that originated in Nigeria.

The illegal ivory trade has literally doubled since 2007!!

We seriously cannot believe that people are so willing to senselessly kill such beautiful creatures.

Apparently no one has been arrested so we’re hoping someone gets tracked down and tossed in the slammer because this is disgusting!!

Let’s hope justice is served!
