Get ready folks, Ferris Bueller’s iconic red Ferrari is going up for auction.
Well, sort of.
Turns out the car is really a replica of the Ferrari 250GT Spyder California which was created for the 1986 flick Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
But the car does work and is drivable.
Turns out only about 100 genuine 250GT Spyder Ferraris were built between 1958 and 1963 so movie execs decided an original was too pricey and hard to find and they built the replica instead.
The car will go up for auction in London on April 19th by the Bonhams Collectors’ Motor Cars and Automobilia Auction and will take place at the Royal Air Force Museum.
Officials are estimating the car will bring in over $45,000.
And not to worry, the car for auction isn’t the one that crashes through the glass wall at the end of the flick.
If you had the extra cash around, would U be interested in buying this car?
