Oz Remains Great And Powerful! Highest-Grossing Film Of 2013!

box office top ten
Finally! An actual, successful movie in 2013!
For the second week in a row, Oz the Great and Powerful topped the box office this weekend, pulling in $42.2 million and securing it as the year’s highest-grossing film so far, with a domestic total of $145 million!
Nice!
But props also need to go to Halle Berry, whose new movie The Call followed up in the number two spot with $17.1 million, secured the actress her biggest non-X-Men movie opener since Gothika! AND with a reported budget of $15 million, it’s already made back its cost…and then some!
Sadly, the exact opposite happened to Steve Carell, whose new comedy Burt Wonderstone secured the actor the worst opening for a comedy he has headlined with only $10.3 million!
OUCH!
But hey! It still came in #3, so that’s something!
Right?
