The Smithsonian National Zoo’s Mei Xiang began her breeding period over the weekend and the staffers decided to share the news with everyone….
By live tweeting her artificial insemination!
Monday’s procedures were given the SportsCenter treatment as a rundown of the events kept every follower up-to-date.
Mei is being inseminated by Tian Tian, whose sperm was collected in 2005.
Let’s hope we see some panda baybays soon!
