Time for some panda panting!
The Chinese and Australian conservation societies are hoping that a recent matchup may prove fruitful for the world.
Two pandas, Wang Wang and Funi, have been thrust together at the Adelaide Zoo down under in hopes that they will, well, thrust together.
It is the hopes of Australian and Chinese officials that the two bamboo-munching cuddle bears will make good use of their time together and start punching out some much needed babies.
As the only giant pandas in left the Southern Hemisphere, they have little other options, but at the moment, both of them are still too young. As we’re told, the pandas are only 3 and 4 years old, and they won’t reach “sexual maturity” for another year or so.
So they’re in that awkward middle school phase where they think they like each other but they don’t know if they like-like each other.
They better figure it out though! No time to waste! All of China and Australia is waiting!!
