The President of France has officially said that the country “is at war” following Friday’s deadly terrorist attacks in Paris.
During an historic meeting with both houses of parliament on Monday morning, President Fran├â┬ºois Hollande issued a statement saying that France would respond to ISIS killing 129 people by “not just containing, but destroying” the terrorist cell.

It’s unclear if this was a legitimate declaration of war or more of a manner of speaking, but he clearly got his point across.
The news comes just a day after Prime Minister Manuel Valls also said that the country was “at war with terrorism” following the French Police decision to raid 168 homes over the weekend.
President François Hollande stated that he will be meeting with President Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin later this week.
