Paris Hilton is busy recording her first follow-up to the record she released in 2006 and recently announced some major star power joining her!
Not only is she working with Grammy Award winning producer Afrojack, but LMFAO will be featured in her first single, as she explained:
“It’s completely different from my last album. I’m going with a whole new genre. I have Afrojack executive-producing the entire album. So we’ve just been coming up with the most incredible tracks. I was just in the studio with RedFoo the other night, so we’re going to be doing my new single with LMFAO.”
Maybe it’s time to let your ears give Paris’ music a second chance! Following an “awesome” recording session with the party rockers, she told reporters:
“I’m so excited. The music’s turning out so great and I can’t wait to release it this summer. Two nights ago [I recorded the song with LMFAO] … I’ve known them since I was a little girl. We grew up together ’cause our parents are friends, so I’m just so proud of them and all their success and what they’ve done ’cause they’ve just created this whole ‘Party Rock’ brand and it’s just so awesome.”
Even though the world mostly knows who Paris is through reality television and gossip columns, she insists music her passion. With her first single nearly ready to go, Paris hopes to prove the skeptics wrong, continuing:
“I think a lot of people don’t know that music is my passion since I was a little girl. I’m very musically talented. This is more my thing [musically on this album], more of a club scene, more dance. … The single’s done; it’s in the can. That’s probably going to be out [within] the next month or two.”
She’s not just returning to the music scene either — she’s returning to the big screen! The House of Wax and The Hottie & The Nottie actress is reteaming with director Darren Bousman for a horror musical, revealing:
“I’m about to do a film with my friend Darren Bousman. He has a new musical that’s coming up called The Devil’s Carnival. It’s about Hell, it’s a musical and it’s different.”
