Paris Jackson has a very important request for fans!
On Tuesday, Michael Jackson‘s daughter took to Twitter to ask her followers to stop editing her skin tone to make her either look more white or mixed. Oh no!

In case you were unaware, a current trend online is to edit red carpet images of celebs to make them look either lighter or darker skinned. As Paris is the daughter of a black icon and a white woman, this trend is understandably an annoyance.
The music industry scion noted:
i appreciate everything y’all make for me, i enjoy every single edit i see. but please stop lightening my skin to make me look more white. and please stop darkening my skin to make me look more mixed. i am what i am. i’m aware of what i look like and i finally happy with it..

We mean, this seems like a perfectly fair request. When asked to elaborate on the criticism against her mixed coloring, Miz Jackson added:
sometimes peeps say i “don├óΓé¼Γäót look mixed enough to be bi racial” ├░┼╕┬ñ┬╖├░┼╕┬Å┬╝├óΓé¼┬ì├óΓäóΓé¼├»┬╕┬Å

We can only imagine how frustrating that is. Thankfully, the internet has rallied behind Paris’ demand. Followers weighed in:
We all Love you for who you are. I think sometimes its not intentionally done, sometimes after a lot of editing it may or may not affect the skin tone. But sorry about it. Again we love you for being you and nothing about that will change ♥

i├óΓé¼Γäóm so sorry paris. i have never understood why someone would want to change some else├óΓé¼Γäós skin colour. it├óΓé¼Γäós really upsetting that you even have to point this out 🙁

Your beautiful the way you were made! Its so sad we live in a society where people have to edit things to satisfy their description of what is acceptable to fit into society or what they think society wants to see. Never change, stand strong! Your Beautiful!
