Damn! Sometimes, being a diva means you don’t always see the way things really are. Surely, she’s going to feel really awful about this.
A West Point cadet is suing Patti LaBelle for allegedly having her bodyguards rough him up at a Houston airport terminal. Richard King, who was visiting his family while on spring break from The Point, was waiting to be picked up when three of LaBelle’s bodyguards attacked him. According to the cadet’s lawsuit:
“Apparently, defendant LaBelle believed King was standing too close to her (no doubt expensive) luggage, even though he was oblivious to her presence and the danger he was in. LaBelle lowered the window of her limousine and gave a command to her bodyguards. They sprang into action.”
Whoa! All over some luggage! Uncalled for!
Cadet King further alleges that the assault resulted in a “concussion and lingering dizziness and headaches.” He is asking for unspecified damages.
If this is true, he absolutely deserves them, but we have a hard time believing Patti would have a kid beaten up for sitting too close to her luggage. Either he’s not telling us something or she needs a reality check.
