Ugh!
This is just awful!
Indiana Pacers basketball player Paul George is one of the best players in the NBA and, at the age of 24, is also one of its youngest.
Which all made the world cringe that much harder when the star forward suffered a TERRIBLE right leg injury this past Friday during a Team USA intrasquad scrimmage game at UNLV‘s Thomas & Mack Center.
Doctors have diagnosed the injury as a open tibia-fibula fracture and it’s expected that Paul George will miss the entire NBA season – a huge blow to any fans of not only his team but the entire league in general.
However the most important thing is Paul George’s health, and the forward took to Twitter to make it known that he expects to come back better than ever. He wrote:
Thanks everybody for the love and support.. I'll be ok and be back better than ever!!! Love y'all!! #YoungTrece

Many players took to Twitter to lend George their support, and to wish him a speedy recovery! Here are some of those tweets:
Hurt my stomach the moment I heard the news! I didn't want to believe it. Man I need u out there bro!… http://t.co/2ueciPRgtN

The worst part was that it was such a routine play and the gruesome injury happened only when George’s leg hit the backboard stanchion – something he’s probably done a million times before.
We’re definitely sending our best wishes to this super talented man. Hopefully he will come back better than ever.
WARNING: The video of Paul George is VERY graphic and is VERY hard to watch – definitely is not for everyone.
With that said, you can watch the video (above) and/or check it out in slow mo (below).
