Well thank goodness!! We wouldn’t want her to lose $900,000 over a slippery driveway, ick!!
Yesterday we discussed how Paula Abdul settled a lawsuit with Jill Kohl over a fall Jill endured while filming Hey Paula.
Though it had been reported that Paula lost $900,000, it was really just her insurance carrier!!
According to Vicki Greco of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP:
Absolutely no monies of the settlement will be paid by Paula Abdul. All monies agreed to be paid to Jill Kohl as part of the settlement will be funded by the parties’ respective insurance carriers. While a settlement was reached between the parties in the case, we were confident that she would prevail at trial. The decision to settle the case was a business decision made solely by Ms. Abdul’s insurance carrier.
So there ya go!! Paula is still filthy rich!!!
…and she’d probably still be even without that $900k from her own pocket…
