Scientists Can Now Grow Penises In Labs! Like From Scratch, Not Just Giving Each Other Boners

Scientists never cease to amaze us!!
Researcher Anthony Atala has discovered a way to grow male reproductive organs by using cells from the remains of an individual’s penis. Once the cells are removed, they are grown in a culture for up to six weeks and then added to a collagen scaffold of a penis. Then things get weird.

The cells then follow the scaffold and grow into the shape of a penis. Can they make it longer than it was originally?? We sure hope so!
The research was conducted at Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine and scientists believe they could start performing procedures within five years pending FDA approval.
Males born with genetic abnormalities or who’ve undergone severe injuries to their penises would majorly benefit from this procedure so we hope the FDA gives the institute the thumbs up.
Yay, science!
