Sequel To Percy Jackson Could Surface Soon!

And it would be called by the subtitle The Sea Of Monsters, named after the second book in the 5 book series by Rick Riordan!
It’s in the very, very early stages, though. No director yet.
The good news is that it DOES have writers working on it, Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. They wrote Ed Wood and Agent Cody Banks.
Not only that, but the adorbs Logan Lerman will definitely be back as Percy!
So, what’s the hold up on the strong greenlight?

Riordan’s books are hugely popular, with the series spending more than three years on the New York Times bestseller list. The original film was a modest hit, fueled by its performance overseas: It grossed a decent $89 million in the U.S. but pulled in an additional $137 million around the world.”

Modest hits don’t create a lot of momentum, but, as we see all the time, things that are even less deserving of sequels get them all the time!
We’d love to see another Percy movie, for sure!
