We all like to enjoy the holidays with those we love, and pets are often included! According to a Pet Smart survey, 72% percent of pet parents include their pet in holiday festivities.
To make sure you and your pet have a great holiday, Pet Smart has some tips that could help with this time of the year!
Since there are often many changes during this time, such as more people around and decorations around the house we have to make sure our pets stay calm.
If you are having a party or a large gathering, make sure your pets have somewhere quiet that they can go to rest. We don’t want to get them too riled up!
Also, make sure your decorations are pet-friendly.
If you are putting up lights, be wary of how many extension cords are hanging around. To make sure that your pet does not chew on them, tack or tape them down to prevent shocks, burns or more serious injuries.
These are just a few major tips to remember when dealing with the excitement of the holidays.
