The music world just lost an incredible talent.
Pete Burns tragically passed away at the age of 57 on Sunday, after suffering from a heart attack. On Monday, his husband Michael Simpson, his ex-wife Lynn, and his management released a joint statement on the Dead Or Alive frontman’s death.
They made the announcement with the “greatest sadness,” saying:

“All of his family and friends are devastated by the loss of our special star. He was a true visionary, a beautiful talented soul, and he will be missed by all who loved and appreciated everything he was and all of the wonderful memories the has left us with.”

The English artist became a mainstream success after his band’s 1985 hit You Spin Me Round (Like A Record). And, he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006, where he came in fifth place.
The artist was also known for his androgynous image, and he has openly confessed to undergoing hundreds of cosmetic surgeries including lip injections, cheek implants, and multiple nose jobs.
His other reality TV credits include Celebrity Wife Swap and The Body Shocking Show.
Pete has had health issues in the past, and suffered from kidney failure back in 2009.
Our hearts go out to everyone affected by this terrible loss.
