That’s because the 22-year-old comic admitted to The Breakfast Club morning show on Tuesday that Cudi saved his life, adding:
“I would’ve killed myself if I didn’t have Kid Cudi.”
Davidson went on to reveal that it was the rapper’s 2009 debut album, Man on the Moon, that helped him through a lot of dark times saying:
“I would’ve killed myself. Absolutely 100%. I truly believe if Man on the Moon didn’t come out, I wouldn’t be here.”

When asked about the 32-year-old’s own battle with depression, the SNL cast member said:
“It’s kind of comforting to know your hero goes through the same stuff you do. I think that’s why a lot of kids my age can relate to Cudi and people love him so much is because he’s a very emotional dude.”
Well put. Pete even talked about being in contact with the Pursuit of Happiness artist saying:
“I texted with him last Monday, and he’s in really good spirits. I think I might go see him next week. But he’s in a good place.”
