Andie MacDowell Sounds Off On Pete Davidson's Relationship With Her Daughter Margaret Qualley!

Andie McDowell approves of Pete Davidson.

Andie MacDowell has NOT Facetimed with Pete Davidson yet, but she still endorses his “relationship” with her daughter!

The Ready Or Not actress opened up about the Saturday Night Live star’s romance with her daughter, Margaret Qualley, at Paris Fashion Week, and it sounds like she’s trying her best to be a *cool mom* about it.

Speaking to People, the 61-year-old said the two have a “beautiful” thing going, but noted she’s making sure not to get too involved in her 24-year-old daughter’s love life.

She admitted:

“She has a beautiful relationship with him but I don’t want to step on her relationship too much. They have a nice relationship.”

Sounds like she approves! Or at least tolerates!

MacDowell went on to reveal she hasn’t met the 25-year-old comedian in person yet, but said they’ve interacted (kind of) via modern technology:

“I FaceTimed with Pete the other day or no, she took a video of me to send to Pete that’s what it was.”

But did he send a video back!?

The Groundhog’s Day star didn’t say — but it’s hard to deny things aren’t getting serious between the two actors.

As we reported, Marg and Pete first sparked romance rumors back in July. Soon after, they were spotted getting cozy in Italy together, where the funny man showed his support for his new lady love at the premiere of her film, Seberg, at the Venice Film Festival

The two were said to be attached at the hip at the prestigious festival; when they weren’t attending events, they were out walking hand in hand as they explored the city and spotted on romantic date nights.

An eyewitness told E! News at the time:

“They looked comfortable together and walked close. They went into a few little stores. They checked out little tourist stands and were chatting the entire time. They walked down narrow alleyways and let their shoulders bump. They never stopped holding hands.”

The romance comes during a busy year for both actors. Qualley is enjoying a big moment in her career right now. Not only did she have a breakout role in Quentin Tarantino‘s Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood earlier this summer, she earned her first Emmy nomination for her role in the FX show Fosse/Verdon.

Pete, meanwhile, is going full Hollywood himself. The performer was noticeably absent from the season premiere of SNL over the weekend because he’s busy filming James Gunn’s new Suicide Squad film in Atlanta.

While Woody Harrelson hosted a Billie Eilish-laced episode full of laughs and Donald Trump digs, Pete was at a special screening for Joker with his Suicide Squad costars, including Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, and Jai Courtney

Not much has been revealed about the movie’s plot, but it’s said to be a “relaunch” of the 2016 film of the same name rather than a sequel. Pete’s role is also a mystery, but it’s set to be released on August 6, 2021.

We wonder if Pete and Margaret will still be dating by that time?
