If it takes happy thoughts to fly, we doubt NBC executives are going to have an easy time getting off the carpet today.
After the wild success of The Sound Of Music Live! last year we’re guessing they thought Peter Pan Live! would be just as magical.

Unfortunately, like Christopher Walken, the musical was not quite able to hit that high note.
Whereas Carrie Underwood and company climbed every mountain to the tune of a 10.9/18 share (roughly 18.67 million individual viewers), Peter Pan was only able to grab a 5.9/9.
That’s about 10 million viewers — for a drop of 46% from last year!
These are just the preliminary figures, but we’re guessing DVR and repeat viewers are going to be lower on a show like this. We mean, the whole point is that it’s live!
